We arrived very late in the night after a very long journey but we made it! We decided to take out the partitions and make Billy and Magpie stables in the whole of the horse area of the horsebox overnight as it was too late really to put up our tent and stables at 1am! However, this 'good idea' backfired for Pete and I as sleeping within a meter of the horses lead to a less than peaceful nights kip! Magpie was in his element, snug as a bug and a fixed wall to scratch his bottom on all night long!! The horsebox rocked like a boat and inspite of our yells of protest they both had a wonderful evening of scratching and munching VERY loudly.
We peeled ourselves from our beds the next morning feeling extremely tired, Billy and Magpie however, were bright eyed and bushy tailed - literally bushy where they had been rubbing them.
On the bright side we were at a show with a friend of ours Rosie from Galloping Acrobatics who was also performing there, so it was nice to catch up and watch her in action and in the end a good day was had by all :)
